Home Tour – Small Apartment Gallery Walls

Who says small spaces can’t do great things? This small apartment from Martin Brudnizki Design Studio proves big things can come from a well-thought-out space.

Martin Brudnizki carefully designed this eclectic space, where almost every surface is covered with framed art including the kitchen cabinets. Such a cool use of a small space and making walls tell a story. Notice all the unique and perfectly blended artwork throughout the space working with and enhancing the open layout.

Small Apartment Space, Big Design

From the wall color to the floral rows of frames reminiscent of herbs and flowers, this is a great way to both highlight and decorate built-ins in a kitchen. The cabinetry is a great space-saver for a small apartment, especially with taller cabinets for added storage. Take advantage of natural light and a corner by adding a large plant and some more frames!

A great way to create the illusion of divided areas in an open space is by changing the decor. While tying into the kitchen with the slightly darker wall color, Martin utilizes more shapes in the wall art and deeper colors including dark blue and gold.

The dining area doubles as a reading nook and bookcase. I love this little set-up.

From the front, the dining room seconds as a wall gallery, with the main artwork highlighted in the middle. Different sketches and artworks are tied in with a blue rug that matches the lamp and colors of some of the artwork.

For such a small apartment, this one has so many windows. Here Martin takes advantage of the space between the two to add more artwork. This cozy living room also utilizes ottomans as coffee tables for added multi-use sitting.

Here again, you see the great flow of this small apartment all brought together by the eclectic wall art.

Added a mirror opposite the curved windows creates the illusion of more space. I love all the sitting spaces and overhead paintings.
